The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut will be meeting a deadline on Friday to bid on a casino license in South Korea.

The Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority and the Incheon International Airport Corporation plan to build a $5 billion resort at the airport near Seoul, the nation's capital. KCC Corp., a chemicals manufacturer, is also part of the project as an investor, Greater Greater Asia reported.

The Mohegan Sun Inspire project will be built in phases. Plans call for a foreigners-only casino, a hotel complex, a 20,000-seat arena, shops, restaurants and other amenities.

South Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism plans to issue two gaming licenses.
