A Mississippi man pleaded guilty for assaulting a tribal police officer at the casino owned by the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians.

Jason Gooden, 29, was asked to leave the Silver Star Hotel and Casino on April 4 because he appeared to be intoxicated, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney's Office. When tribal police arrived, he admitted that he grabbed one and threw him to the ground.

Gooden is non-Indian, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office. He was prosecuted in federal court because the tribal officer is considered to be a federal law enforcement officer.

Gooden will be sentenced on January 28, 2016.
