The Navajo Nation Council approved a bill to distribute gaming revenues to all 110 chapters on the Navajo Nation.

Legislatin No. 0158-15 directs five percent of net revenues to the chapters. Previously, only host chapters received funds.

The tribe operates four gaming facilities -- three in New Mexico and one in Arizona. They brought in $80 million last year, Indian Country Today reported in January.

Revenues are expected to grow because one of the facilities in New Mexico will be adding Class III games. The tribe also plans to build another casino in the state in the near future although plans have not been finalized.

Legislatin No. 0158-15 was approved by the Navajo Nation Council's Budget and Finance Committee on May 11. The committee serves as the final word on the bill.
