The Blackfeet Nation of Montana celebrated a milestone in Indian gaming last week.

The tribe paid off a $6.5 million loan that was used to finance the Glacier Peaks Casino in eight years. That's two years ahead of schedule, The Glacier Reporter said.

The casino opened in 2006. The tribe opened a Holiday Inn Express & Suites adjacent to the facility in 2013 -- the $5.8 million project was financed completely by the tribe.
