The Tulsa World congratulates the Cherokee Nation for moving forward with an expansion plan at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Oklahoma:
Cherokee Nation Businesses has announced a three-phase $6.9 million improvement project for its Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

The renovation begins in May with work on the hotel lobby, followed by the addition of a luxury spa and a 16,000-square-foot pool area, complete with cabanas, an extended bar and a hot tub area.

It’s the latest evidence that tribal gambling is very big business in Oklahoma and that money rolls from the tribes to the general economy.
