The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut wants to be able to expand the service and sale of liquor at its casino.

Currently, Foxwoods Resort Casino must stop serving liquor at 1am on weekdays and 2am on weekends. CEO Felix Rappaport said the tribe will ask the state to extend the hours.

“I’m not sure being able to play blackjack until 2 or 3 morning and get a drink is a bad thing,” Rappaport, who started his job last week, told the Associated Press. “I think at the very least we ought to look at it because it’s a competitive disadvantage.”
