The Menominee Nation remains confident that Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) will approve the tribe's off-reservation casino.

Walker originally promised a decision last October but asked the Bureau of Indian Affairs for an extension, a move the tribe supported. Chairwoman Laurie Boivin said the tribe continues to provide information to his office about the $800 million casino in Kenosha.

“As their consultants are working on their analysis and if they’re requesting any information from the tribe, we’ve been providing that information,” Boivin told WLUK-TV.

Walker plans to make a decision in February 2015. "The federal government took nine years to do that, we’re going to take 18 months,” he told WLUK.
