The Yavapai-Prescott Tribe of Arizona announced plans for a $40 million gaming facility but details are still being worked out.

The tribe envisions a 50,000 square-foot facility and a hotel with 60 to 80 rooms. If construction begins in the fall, the new casino could be open in 18 months.

"There is a reason why you don't see any conceptual drawings up here," Luis Ochoa, the tribe's gaming attorney said at a press conference on Sunday, The Prescott Daily Courier reported. "Because we don't have any. That's where we're at."

The tribe is asking its patrons and the community what they want to see in a new casino. "Our designer is going to design to the capability of what the community can handle," said Simon Fort, the manager of the tribe's existing Bucky's Casino and Yavapai Casino, the paper reported.

The tribe hasn't decided what to do with the existing facilities. But the Class III gaming compact only allows two facilities and the tribe is currently near its limit in terms of slot machines.
