The Arizona Department of Gaming is reporting an increase in tribal gaming contributions.

For the quarter that ended December 2013, tribes shared about $13.5 million with the state. That's an increase of 2.7 percent from the same quarter in 2012.

“While one quarter does not establish a trend, this increase is welcome news for state programs that benefit from tribal contributions,” Dan Bergin, the director of the department, said in a press release.
