Rihanna moves concert to venue at Pascua Yaqui Tribe casino

Rihanna has canceled her concert in Phoenix, Arizona, and will be playing the venue owned by the Pascua Yaqui Tribe instead.

Rihanna was scheduled to appear at the Cricket Pavilion in Phoenix. But her managers decided to play the Ava Amphitheater at Casino Del Sol in Tucson on July 22.

"It's great for Ava and it's great for the Pasqua Yaqui Tribe, and great for Tucson," CEO Wendell Long told KOLD-TV. "This is the type of artist that normally bypasses Tucson, and now to have her here as her only appearance in the state is just really, really big."

Some artists are boycotting Arizona due to SB1070, the state's controversial anti-immigration law. But Long said the tribe is benefiting from its sovereign status.
