The Jamul Indian
Village in southern California is holding a public hearing on Wednesday night to discuss the tribe's casino plans.
The tribe is building the $250 million resort on its six-acre reservation. The tribe had sought approval for a different site but says the Bureau of Indian Affairs delayed action on a land-into-trust application.
The on-reservation site has some neighbors and officials worried. They are concerned about traffic and the height of the 12-story hotel.
The hearing takes place from 5pm to 8pm at the tribal headquarters.
