The Muscogee (Creek) Nation in Oklahoma is planning to build a casino next to a prekindergarten school.
The site is in Holdenville. The tribe bought an old elementary school there in 1987 and placed it in trust.
The casino will be built on the school's former playground. A fence will separate the casino from the
prekindergarten program.
The prekindergarten is operated by the Holdenville School District. The school board president said the district will discuss whether to move the program now that a casino is on the way.
