The Kickapoo Tribe of Texas will pay $2.6 million to Lakes Entertainment Inc. to settle a dispute over a business deal.
The tribe hired Lakes to manage the Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino in Eagle Pass. Their relationship ended last November, according to The Twin Cities Business Journal.
To get out of the deal, the tribe is paying Lakes $600,000 for land the company owns next to the casino. The tribe is also paying Lakes for payments the company made to vendors.
