The Cherokee Nation's race track/casino has been delayed yet again.
The tribe purchased the Will Rogers Downs in Claremore. Under a new state law, the tribe can add electronic gaming machines to the facility, as long as revenues are shared with the state and the horse racing industry.
But the opening of the facility has been delayed several times. According to The Oklahoman,
Gaming Laboratories International, the only company authorized to test and certify the machines, can't test the Cherokee Nation's machines until after Thanksgiving.
