Supervisors in Fresno County, California, are considering taking some action on a proposed non-reservation casino.
The Big Sandy Band of Western Mono Indians wants to build a casino on an Indian allotment.
The tribe says it has jurisdiction over the land.
The county agrees it doesn't have jurisdiction but supervisors have asked their attorney to look into authority it has over roads and other properties that lead to the casino site.
