The Iowa Tribe met with Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius (D) to discuss a proposed off-reservation casino.
The Iowa Tribe has a reservation on the Kansas-Nebraska line. The tribe is proposing a casino hundreds of miles away near Wichita.
Sebelius has been cool to the plan but is not outright opposed to off-reservation gaming. She signed a compact with the Kickapoo Tribe and the Sac and Fox Tribe for a casino outside of Kansas City.
