Tribe, others to survey public on gaming in Ohio

Representatives of the Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma and other proponents of gaming agreed on Thursday to ask the public what they think about expanding gaming in Ohio.

The first-ever summit on gaming was held yesterday, bringing the tribe together with lawmakers, horse track lobbyists and other interested groups. They decided to meet again to try and work together to expand gaming.

The tribe is eyeing up to nine sites throughout the state and has already signed land deals and agreements.
