Officials in Lorain, Ohio, don't want the Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma offering bingo or any Class II gaming on a lakefront property.
What they really want is Class III gaming, a city council member said. So they are adding a provision in an agreement that restricts the tribe from using the land for anything else.
The tribe closed on deals for the lakefront property and is eyeing up to nine sites throughout the state for casinos.
