The Seneca-Cayuga Tribe of Oklahoma says it is looking into putting a casino in Auburn, New York, at the invitation of the mayor.
The tribe proposed a Class III casino in the Rochester area. But the mayor of Auburn said he would welcome the development and suggested an old shoe factory.
The tribe says the factory is too small but will look at other sites in the city. The tribe is negotiating a possible settlement of its land claim with Gov. George Pataki (R).
