Rhode Islands voters are deeply divided over the Narragansett Tribe's proposed casino, according to a poll released on Tuesday.
The poll found that 47 percent supported a casino while 43 were opposed. Another 10 percent were undecided.
The poll was conducted by Brown's Taubman Center for Public Policy. The margin of error was 5 percentage points, so the race is basically a dead heat.
The tribe needs voter approval to build a casino. Lawmakers are considering putting the issue on the November ballot.
