Navajo agribusiness wins New Mexico certification
The agribusiness owned by the Navajo Nation won its first certification from the New Mexico Department of Agriculture on Tuesday.

Navajo Agriculture Producers Industry was the only agricultural business in the state to win state certification this year. The company met the state's safety requirements.

"It puts us on a preferred vendor list for consumers," Aaron Benally, NAPI Potato Crop manager, told The Farmington Daily Times. "It's a pretty good marketing advantage."
